Highlights of Yinhai International Yacht Club

Yinhai Starfish International Convention and Exhibition Center

The Yinhai Starfish International Convention and Exhibition Center resembles a massive starfish crawling on the ground. This “starfish” stands 8 meters tall, with each “leg” measuring 20 meters in length, covering a total construction area of over 2,000 square meters. At night, the indoor lighting illuminates the sky, and colorful lights twinkle on the starfish’s structure, resembling a galaxy of stars—truly a stunning sight.

The central hall inside can accommodate conferences for over a hundred people, while the five corner lounges serve as excellent venues for business negotiations and dining banquets.

Beneath the “starfish” lies the main exhibition hall of the Yinhai International Convention and Exhibition Center, which is divided into land and water exhibition areas. It has successfully hosted various large-scale events, including international yacht and sailing exhibitions.

Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is one of the iconic structures of the Yinhai International Yacht Club and serves as a key facility for the water sports training base associated with the 2008 Olympic Sailing Competition. It is the world’s first mechanically operable offshore rainbow bridge.

This steel structure spans 60 meters in length and 2 meters in width, rising 8 meters above sea level at high tide, allowing boats to pass freely underneath. When sailboats and large vessels enter or exit the harbor, an electric hydraulic system can lift the bridge’s two sections upward, resembling a pair of sails poised for sailing at a height of 30 meters, adding to the bay’s picturesque scenery.

At the southern end of the bridge, there is a 26-meter-wide water curtain enhanced by colorful lights, creating a mesmerizing waterfall effect that beautifully arcs like a rainbow. Walking across the Rainbow Bridge offers a refreshing and enchanting experience, making it hard for visitors to leave.

China Level Zero Point Sculpture

The China Level Zero Point Sculpture is located at the summit of Guanzhuang Mountain in Qingdao, serving as the permanent benchmark for sea level height across the country. This sculpture, designed for tourism and sightseeing, stands approximately 7 meters tall, 4.8 meters wide, and weighs around 10 tons.

Its main structure features an octagonal inverted cone design, adorned with several spheres of varying sizes that, together with latitude and longitude lines, form a representation of the Earth. Visitors here can experience the profound sense of “how high the mountains rise and how deep the waters are, with height starting from this point.”

Olympic Culture Corridor

To promote Olympic knowledge and the spirit of the Olympics, the Yinhai International Yacht Club tourist area features an Olympic Culture Corridor along the dock dam. This corridor offers a comprehensive overview of the first to the 28th Olympic Games. Visitors can enjoy many iconic moments from the Olympics while learning about the rich cultural heritage of the Olympic movement and experiencing the profound meaning of the Olympic spirit.
