Located in the famous tourist resort area south of Shilaoren Beach, Qingdao Polar Ocean World (青岛极地海洋世界) is a large-scale integrated tourism and entertainment destination that features simulated polar environments, marine animal exhibitions, shopping, and recreational activities. Spanning from the Sculpture Park in the east to the Ocean Entertainment City in the west, this attraction offers a unique experience for visitors of all ages.

The facility houses over 200 polar animals of more than ten species, including beluga whales, penguins, and polar bears. In addition, it showcases thousands of rare marine organisms, providing an extensive view of ocean biodiversity.

Qingdao Polar Ocean World consists of 36 exhibition halls, with the Polar Marine Animal Pavilion being the core attraction. The pavilion is designed to resemble a sailing ship from the side, standing at an impressive height of 31 meters. It features the most comprehensive collection of marine animals in the country, replicating a realistic polar ocean environment.

Within the simulated polar habitat, visitors can observe rare animals such as beluga whales, walruses, sea lions, seals, polar otters, polar bears, and penguins. The venue also hosts exciting performances by these magnificent marine mammals, making it a captivating experience for all who visit.

Polar Animal Performance Hall

In the Polar Animal Performance Hall, visitors can enjoy a unique blend of exotic charm, featuring ice caves and snow houses. This immersive experience provides various perspectives on the customs and natural landscapes of polar regions.

At the marine mammal habitat, you can observe a variety of “friends” from the Arctic, including beluga whales, walruses, polar bears, sea otters, and penguins. The hall also offers the opportunity for guests to feed these rare polar animals and take memorable photos with them.

Happy World

Happy Theater features a cartoonish design style with vibrant colors, creating a whimsical fairy-tale atmosphere. The theater is divided into three main areas: Marine Mammal Island, indoor performance venues, and outdoor performance areas. The outdoor and indoor venues can accommodate 1,500 and 1,000 visitors, respectively, for performances.

Originally transformed from the dolphin performance hall, Happy Theater showcases a thrilling competition between two teams: the Blue Team, consisting of false killer whales, sea lions, and seals, and the Red Team, featuring skilled clown acrobats. Each performance promises plenty of laughter.

Marine Mammal Island is home to two large northern sea lions and 15 seals, allowing visitors to observe these adorable animals frolicking freely among the artificial hills and wooden walkways from various vantage points, adding to the charm of the experience.

Ocean Theater

The Ocean Theater features 3,600 seats surrounded by six small temporary holding pools. Here, rare marine animals such as beluga whales, dolphins, sea lions, and walruses come together to showcase their incredible talents. Visitors can enjoy a tranquil world where humans and whales dance in harmony, thrilling aerial performances, and lively animal concerts, leaving lasting memories of this extraordinary experience.
