Highlights of Huadong Wine Estate

Baili Wine Estate

Huadong Baili Wine Estate is nestled in the picturesque Jiulongpo area of Laoshang, covering over 600,000 square meters. The estate has introduced thousands of European grape varieties, including Chardonnay, Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Gamay, cultivating a total of 13 prestigious winemaking species. Additionally, it has established a vast grape-growing base in Dazeshan and other areas.

The estate employs a unique “single trunk with double arms” cultivation method, combined with the exceptional natural conditions of the Qingdao region, ensuring that Huadong products stand out for their high quality. This dedication to quality and innovation has made Baili Wine Estate a prominent name in the Chinese wine industry.

At Baili Wine Estate, visitors can explore the workshop to see the oak barrels used for storing wine and learn about the entire winemaking process. In the tasting room, guests can savor exquisite wines while listening to staff explain how to assess the quality of different wines.

Wine Culture Corridor

The Wine Culture Corridor is adorned with grapevines overhead, creating a picturesque setting. During the harvest season, clusters of grapes hang from the branches, allowing visitors to pick and taste them fresh from the vine. Along both sides of the corridor, intricately carved poetry and verses related to wine enhance the ambiance. Strolling through this corridor feels like stepping into a beautiful painting of an ancient European vineyard, immersing visitors in the rich culture and tradition of winemaking.

Jiulongtan Release Pool

At the edge of Jiulongtan Release Pool, elegant black swans gracefully call to one another, while two snowy-white American geese bask lazily in the sun. At the other end of the pool lies the majestic Jiulong Fountain. In winter, the entire dragon sculpture is adorned with ice crystals, creating a stunning spectacle that captivates all who visit. This serene setting not only showcases the beauty of nature but also offers a tranquil escape, making it a perfect spot for relaxation and reflection.

Huadong Grand Wine Cellar

Upon entering the Huadong Grand Wine Cellar, visitors are welcomed into the tasting hall, which showcases all products from Huadong Baili Wine Estate. To date, the Baili series offers six distinct levels of wines, along with hundreds of varieties, including Huadong and Huadong Estate wines. Surrounded by the rich aroma of wine, one can’t help but feel uplifted.

As guests move through the collection room, they arrive at the oak barrel aging chamber, where over a thousand French oak barrels are on display. Maintained at a constant temperature of 17 degrees Celsius with optimal humidity, this carefully curated environment provides a gentle ambiance for the wines to mature beautifully. Two century-old oak barrels stand prominently on the right side, their dark, sturdy bodies towering over two meters tall, with the marks of time etched into their surfaces, telling stories of their long history.
